Site Wind Right, created by global NGO The Nature Conservancy, uses uses GIS technology pulling from 100+ data sets on wind resources, wildlife habitat, current land use and infrastructure. The tool informs decisions across 17 states in the U.S. to accelerate the deployment of wind energy that helps people and nature thrive. We will discuss how their interactive tool collects data, empowers developers to find low-conflict areas and its potential use in spatial planning for power grids and offshore wind.
