China’s largest offshore wind farm has gone into operation and achieved grid-connected power generation with a full capacity on Friday October 25th, according to its operator State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC).
The 53 wind turbine units are installed 28km off the coast of Rushan City (Shandong Province), with a capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts and the ability to generate 4.5 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity a year.
