ENTSO-E announced on Tuesday April 26th that an Observer Membership Agreement had been signed between European TSOs and Ukrenergo, the National Ukrainian Power Company. The agreement was signed by Hervé Laffaye, president of ENTSO-E and Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, CEO of Ukrenergo.
Among other European TSOs, Ukrenergo will benefit from technical cooperation and solidarity between members as the Ukrainian power system is still operating today under extremely difficult circumstances.
This announcement follows that of the emergency synchronization of the continental European Power System with the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova on 16 March 2022. This agreement is also an important step proving the commitment of the European TSOs to reinforcing technical cooperation in the security of Europe’s interconnected power system and ensuring a more efficient energy transition.
