Italian power grid operator and GO15 member Terna has released and approved the update of its 2021-2025 Industrial Plan, baptized “Driving Energy”, focused on strengthening energy transition in Italy, on developing infrastructures, storage systems and cross-border interconnections, and on integrating new renewable sources within the power system.
With total CAPEX of 10 billion euros invested into this plan, Terna wishes to act as a major sustainable investor within the European market, as 99% of the company’s capital expenditure is classified as sustainable, based on the eligibility criterion introduced by the EU Taxonomy.
With this updated plan, Terna aims at reinforcing its role as a European and global leader as well as a facilitator of the energy transition.
